India’s Ambassador to Chad, Mr. Naba Kumar Pal, held an orientation session with two Chadian students selected for a Government of India scholarship to study Hindi at the Central Institute of Hindi in Agra.
The session provided the students with an opportunity to learn more about their upcoming academic journey in India and the language programme they will undertake at the prestigious Central Institute of Hindi.
The scholarship reflects India’s continued commitment to strengthening educational and cultural ties with Chad by creating opportunities for students to gain academic and linguistic experience in India. Learning Hindi will not only introduce the students to one of India’s major languages but also provide them with greater exposure to the country’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
During the orientation, Ambassador Pal interacted with the students and offered guidance as they prepare to begin their studies in Agra. The initiative is expected to contribute to greater people-to-people understanding and strengthen the cultural links between India and Chad.
The opportunity also highlights the broader role of India’s scholarship programmes in fostering international educational cooperation. By welcoming students from Chad and other countries to its institutions, India continues to use education and language learning as important bridges for friendship and mutual understanding.
For the two Chadian students, the scholarship marks the beginning of an exciting academic and cultural experience—one that will take them to India to learn Hindi while discovering a new culture and building lasting connections between the peoples of India and Chad.
