Scholars Pre-Departure Orientation & Returnees’ Presentation]
On 28 March, Ambassador SUZUKI hosted the pre-departure orientation session for the MEXT scholars, who will be leaving Nigeria soon for study abroad in Japan at his residence.
The Ambassador reminded the scholars of their important role as a bridge between Nigeria and Japan, and their potentials to make impact not just locally, but across Africa. We also heard firsthand experiences from the returnees who shared insights from their time studying in Japan. A representative of the outgoing students spoke on behalf of the cohort, while former Ambassador to Japan, Amb. Prof. Mohammed Gana Yisa, representing NAIJAA, gave words of encouragement to those heading to Japan and appreciation to those who have returned.
We wish all departing scholars the very best on this exciting journey!
