Senegalese football star Sadio Mané has reportedly emerged as the highest-earning African player in the Saudi Pro League, with a reported annual base salary of around €50 million (approximately $58.1 million).
The Al Nassr forward is also reported to rank third among the league’s highest-paid players overall, behind global superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
The Senegal international joined Al Nassr in 2023 after a distinguished European career that included successful spells at Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
At Liverpool, Mané established himself as one of the world’s elite forwards, winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and other major trophies. He was also a key member of Senegal’s historic Africa Cup of Nations-winning team in 2022.
His move to Saudi Arabia placed him among a growing group of internationally renowned footballers attracted to the league by its ambitious sporting project and substantial financial packages.
A reported €50 million annual base salary places Mané in an elite financial bracket within the Saudi Pro League.
Only Ronaldo and Benzema are reported to earn more, putting the Senegalese forward ahead of numerous other high-profile international stars who have moved to Saudi Arabia in recent years.
The figures further underline the financial transformation of the Saudi league, which has invested heavily in attracting established global football talent.
Mané’s reported earnings also highlight the growing influence of African footballers in one of the world’s most financially powerful football leagues.
For Senegal, the 34-year-old remains one of the country’s most recognizable sporting figures. His success in Europe and subsequent move to Al Nassr have cemented his status as one of Africa’s biggest football stars.
While reported salary figures can vary depending on whether bonuses, commercial agreements and other benefits are included, Mané’s reported base salary places him firmly among the Saudi Pro League’s financial elite.
His presence at Al Nassr continues to combine sporting prestige with the growing global profile of Saudi Arabian football.
